Canada Jay Mathematical Competition (CJMC)

The Canada Jay Mathematical Competition (CJMC) is a Canadian math competition established in 2020 to engage younger students. The competition is open to students from grades K-8, with questions primarily based on the curriculum for grades 5-8. It was created by mathematicians from across Canada.

The CJMC is a 90-minute competition comprising 15 multiple-choice questions, divided into three sets of 5 questions each. The difficulty of the questions increases progressively from the beginning to the end. The competition aims to be a fun fall activity for students and teachers, complementing their math curriculum and enhancing students' problem-solving skills.

Additionally, the CJMC encourages students to discuss mathematical problems after the competition and to participate in a challenging and enjoyable math experience.
